Utah Permit Test Practice

Utah's knowledge test is on the long side: 50 questions from the Utah Driver Handbook, given by the Utah Driver License Division (DLD). The $19 learner permit fee covers up to three attempts at the test within a year, so a slip-up isn't the end, but you'll want to be ready the first time.

You can get a learner permit at 15. It's valid for 18 months, and teens must hold it at least six months while a parent certifies 40 hours of supervised driving, at least 10 after sunset. Utah's test reflects the state's roads, with questions on 80 mph freeway limits, express lanes and the rule that lets motorcyclists filter between stopped cars. Practicing free on DMV Permit Prep helps you get through all 50 questions with confidence.
